The Pastry Academy
Graham Sutherland opened a brand new patisserie and coffee shop at Inchmarlo Golf Centre, just outside of Banchory town centre, in April 2023.
One of my existing clients recommended him to me and it has been an absolute pleasure to begin managing Graham's brand and new business success.
Together, we have massively increased his social media following and consistently manage to maintain a highly engaged conversation with his audience. This has seen a direct affect on the footfall visiting his shop and buying his delicious treats.
We are now in the process of delivering his dream of being able to nurture and develop, the next generation of Scottish pastry chefs.

From Brand Launch to The Pastry Academy
When Graham Sutherland opened his patisserie and coffee shop at Inchmarlo Golf Centre in April 2023, the initial goal was to build local awareness. Following a recommendation from an existing client, I stepped in to lead his brand strategy and digital presence.
Building the Foundation: The results were immediate - by cultivating a highly engaged social media community, we saw a direct correlation between digital engagement and shop footfall. With the retail side of the business thriving, we turned our attention to Graham’s long-term vision: The Pastry Academy.
The Evolution: Setting Up & Managing The Academy I took Graham’s dream of nurturing the next generation of Scottish pastry chefs and turned it into a functioning business model.
My role evolved from consultant to lead manager of the Academy, overseeing:

Beyond the Boardroom: My role quickly evolved from sponsorship lead to core event management. Seeing the potential for high-impact programming, I took the lead on talent acquisition.
I secured Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown and Michelin-starred chef Graham Campbell to headline our live demonstration stage, providing the "star power" that drove ticket sales and media interest.
By bridging the gap between corporate sponsorship and live entertainment, I ensured Taste Angus wasn't just an event, but a premium brand experience.
